Membership Rules
Every family must contribute at least one planned event, field trip, excursion, etc;
and one planned activity for our Thursday meetups.
You will need a google account to participate.
Commitment to show up when agreed upon, and giving reasonable notice if you’re not able to attend.
Communication with other families if needing to cancel.
Stay home if someone in the household is sick.
No tolerance policy for discrimination based on any factors, including religion, politics, race, gender, age, sexual orientation, or educational choices.
No classes or activities will exclude anyone based on the above mentioned factors.
Members are to be respectful of everyone, including children, as we work to provide a safe and welcoming environment for all to learn.
No drop offs. Parents/guardians are expected to stay with children and participate. Exceptions made for some teen meetups.
No Bullying behavior, including cyber bullying
There is no fee to join Renegade Learners and no one is allowed to make a profit off the co-op. Events may only charge for the actual cost, whether that is admission for a field trip or performance or reimbursement for supplies
Meet up coordinators will be responsible for planning all the factors to be considered for their event. Coordinators will provide a description of their event and take responsibility for communication for their event using google calendar. The class coordinator is responsible for emailing every participant. This is easy to do by going into the event on the Google calendar and selecting e-mail participants. They should ask the participants to reply, acknowledging their participation or cancellation if needed. If a reply is not received from a person, the class coordinator should then call that person to make certain the person is aware of the cancellation. We do not want families showing up to find out a class has been canceled.
Meetup coordinator is responsible for either gathering or refunding any fees or giving the fee-based supplies to each family.
Meetup coordinators are free to specify a target age range which the activity is most suitable for and any size limits which the event may have.
